The HT844 also comes with an ATIS option. The HT844 ATIS has been specially designed for use when navigating inland waterways in mainland Europe. A FFSK data signal is sent at the end of each transmission, which carries information about the vessel, including a call sign unique to the craft allowing it to be tracked and monitored for safety purposes.
